RIGHTS

We all have rights guaranteed to us in the US and Texas Constitutions.  Past administrations of Republicans and Democrats have eroded these rights and now we enjoy very little.  In NYC, for example, no more sodas over 16 ounces?  An entity must provide contraceptives--or anything for that matter--against the wishes of the owner(s)?  Women are outspoken saying they don't have the right to vote (recheck the Democratic convention speech by a "guest woman speaker")?  What?  Women have the right to vote.  There is no legislation anywhere trying to limit or deny women the right to vote.  Women have the right to get contraceptives at any store.  They have the right to their own bodies--just as men.  No one is taking away that right.  But the rights of soft-drink owners to sell sodas larger that 16 ounces in NYC?  The right for a company owner to state his opinion about his beliefs regarding homosexuality?  The right of a store owner deciding his company won't be open on Sunday?  Where are their rights?  What about universal healthcare being FORCED on everyone?  Isn't there a violation of rights there?  The right of a men's club to deny women members went where?  I mean if you take away those rights with court-ordered mandates, will there be women on men's professional football teams?  Has the LPGA admitted men?  Has women's sports admitted men?  What we're seeing is more rights denied to us than freedoms given.  A president statting new economy measures on new car production in the upcoming years.  Will this mean no more muscle-cars?  No more heavy-duty pickup trucks or SUVs?  What happened to the rights of consumers?  What we're seeing is big-business taking our land thru eminent domain.  What we're seeing is propaganda.  What we're seeing is socialism/communism/fascism.  We need to change this direction because precedence is being set.  This means it is setting the norm, and our children will bear the brunt of these effects.
